THE MOMENT
Late 2019. My wife Laura and I sat in a doctor's office looking at each other.
Quiet.
The kind of quiet where you're both trying to internalize something at the same time, and neither of you has the words yet.
Breast cancer.
I've spent thirty years building companies. Five exits. Over $500 million. I've been in hard rooms before, with hard numbers on the table, and I know how to work through a problem.
This wasn't that kind of room.
THE CATALYST
A few months later, COVID hit.
Laura is a front-line healthcare worker. Her immune system wasn't a wellness goal. It was a daily operational requirement. Protecting it became the conversation we had every morning and every night.
My co-founder David Letourneau and I had been working in the UV light space through our previous company, Anthem One, where we had deployed UV-C sterilization technology adopted by Bell Helicopter and aerospace clients during COVID. We understood light-based biology at an engineering level.
We connected with physicians from LSU and Baylor who were running a clinical study using UVB light to boost immune response in critically ill COVID patients.
The results were a 60% reduction in mortality.
THE NUMBER THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
In those discussions, one of the doctors pulled up a piece of research I hadn't seen before.
Women with a vitamin D level below 20 ng/mL have an over 80% higher risk of breast cancer.
17
ng/mL
Three points below the threshold.
I've been in enough boardrooms and enough data reviews to know what that number means. It doesn't mean causality. It means the body we loved most was operating without something it needed, and we had no way of knowing it, and no precise way of correcting it even if we had.
That number — 17 — is the reason this platform exists.
THE BUILD
David and I looked at what existed in the market.
Generic UVB lamps with no safety controls. Manual timers. No skin-type calibration. No dosing intelligence. No tracking. No way to know if you were getting 500 IU of synthesis or 5,000.
It wasn't a product gap. It was a category gap. Precision phototherapy for the home didn't exist.
We built it.

And Laura's vitamin D levels are optimal.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We're not a wellness brand. We don't sell transformation stories or lifestyle aesthetics.
We sell a precisely engineered platform that gives your body the biological input it evolved to receive from sunlight — with the precision and safety that sunlight never provided.
The science says vitamin D deficiency is linked to immune dysfunction, cancer risk, seasonal depression, cardiovascular disease, and a range of conditions that most people are managing with symptoms rather than root causes.
The science also says that natural UVB synthesis produces a biological cascade that oral supplementation cannot replicate. Your body creates vitamin D sulfate. It produces regulatory photoproducts. It triggers nitric oxide release through a separate UVA pathway. It activates serotonin production that supplements simply cannot reach.
We built a platform that triggers the whole cascade. Precisely. Safely. In 2 to 4 minutes a day.
That's not a wellness claim. That's biology.
Leadership

Co-Founder & CEO
Eight startups. Five exits totaling over $500 million. Twenty-plus years at the intersection of technology and health. Built the category because the problem hit home.

Co-Founder & President
Scaled Alair Homes from 1 location to 100-plus, with $750 million-plus in sales. The operational and scaling expertise behind Enyrgy's commercial expansion.
We are not in the convincing business.
If you already understand that vitamin D deficiency is a real problem, that supplements don't fully replicate natural synthesis, and that a 2 to 4 minute daily protocol could meaningfully change your levels, then Enyrgy is for you.
If you want to dig into the research, the clinical data, and the mechanism before you decide, we built pages for exactly that.
Either way, the platform is here.
We built it because 17 ng/mL is a number that should have been caught earlier. We intend for it to be the last time anyone finds out that way.
Carpe Diem,
Scott & David
